Department of Business and Sustainability
Dr Ritika Mahajan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business and Sustainability, TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi and the Programme Coordinator for MBA programmes. She teaches courses in the areas of General Management, Organization Behavior, Human Resource Management, and Qualitative Research Methods. She completed her doctoral research on Management Education in India as a UGC-JRF in the Department of Management Studies, IIT Roorkee. A book on this work titled Masters Speak: Management Education in India was published by Bloomsbury Publishers. In her current engagement, she is furthering the research base of her work in the areas of management education for sustainable development, and stakeholder experiences with business sustainability. She has contributed various research papers, book chapters and articles published in peer-reviewed international and national journals by publishers like Emerald, Springer, Business Standard, AIMA, Edward Elgar, TERI Press etc. and presented in international and national conferences at the IIMs, IITs and Central Universities. She is also a regular reviewer for few international journals. By qualification, she holds an MBA (Gold Medalist) and a BBA Honours (Gold Medalist) degree. She received the Best Research Paper Award at the International Conference on Rethinking Management Education organised by the Academy of Value Based Management, New Delhi in 2017 and the Best Research Paper Award at the 71st Annual Convention & Sugar Expo, Hyderabad in 2012. She was core member of the team that received a project on SDG-12: Responsible Consumption & Production from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). She co-led two five-day Schools on Sustainable Consumption and Production in November 2015 and April 2016 respectively for policymakers and students in South Asia jointly organized by the TERI School of Advanced Studies and the UNEP supported by the European Union Funded Switch Asia Program. She is also an alumnus of the Second United Nations Winter School on Sustainable Consumption and Production held at the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok.
