    1. Thus they are investing in experts who could help them reduce, recycle and reuse the water available to them.

    2. Water industry: Water scarcity, both due to quality and quantity has led to investments in water based projects such as water treatment plants for treating municipal and industrial waste water and drinking water, desalination plants for addressing the growing demand and water bottling plants for easy accessibility to good quality water.

    4. Donor agencies and NGOs: There are vast areas in developing nations which do not have access to safe drinking water and sanitation. There are several donor agencies that are supporting institutions to make water and sanitation available and accessible to this segment of population thus creating a plethora of opportunities. Several independent NGO's are also working in this sector.

    5. Research organizations: Proliferating water issues has given rise to enormous need for scientific expertise and knowledge for suggesting innovative solutions to the problem.
