The Department of Regional Water Studies invites applications for the position of Associate Professor

Area/Position Descriptions
Candidates with a Ph.D. in Water Governance, master's in water and sustainable development and a bachelor's in engineering would be given preference. In addition, orientation in water institutions, water demand, planning and management, remote sensing and GIS is desirable.
Eligibility
i. Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
ii. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
iii. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer reviewed/UGC listed journals.
iv. Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.
Desirable Qualification
In addition to the above, the candidates should have ability to
- Identify and secure funding for new research contracts, grants and projects
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary research activities
- Build business partnerships and public engagement activities
- Supervising and mentoring students
- Have good networking skills
Pay Scale: Under the prescribed U.G.C. Pay-scale with admissible allowances

Applications are invited for ONE position of Junior Research Fellow, in a research project entitled “Solid phase arsenic regulation groundwater contamination in a complex redox environment in Indus Basin” at Analytical and Geochemistry Laboratory, Department of Natural and Applied Sciences, TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi-110070. The project is funded by Science and Engineering Board (SERB), Government of India. The fellowship is coterminous with the project for three years with emoluments of Rs. 31000/- p.m. along with applicable HRA. The appointment would be initially made for three months and thereafter would be extended for the remaining period based on the performance of the candidate.
Qualifications: The applicant should have a qualification M.Sc./M.Tech in Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering/Earth Sciences or any allied discipline with a major in Environmental Sciences. Candidates having experience in water quality, geoinformatics and fieldwork in related projects with an interest in pursuing Ph.D. will be preferred.
