The Department of Natural and Applied Sciences invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor.

Eligibility Criteria:
i. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed)
ii. National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission
Specialization:
Mathematics, algorithms, optimization, network, security and web programming, block chain and information technology.
Desirable Qualification: PhD with good publication record and Post-doctoral experience. Candidate with research in frontier domains of data sciences. Ability to attract national and international research funding.
Pay Scale
• Under the prescribed U.G.C. Pay-scale with admissible allowances.

Applications are invited for ONE position of Junior Research Fellow, in a research project entitled “Solid phase arsenic regulation groundwater contamination in a complex redox environment in Indus Basin” at Analytical and Geochemistry Laboratory, Department of Natural and Applied Sciences, TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi-110070. The project is funded by Science and Engineering Board (SERB), Government of India. The fellowship is coterminous with the project for three years with emoluments of Rs. 31000/- p.m. along with applicable HRA. The appointment would be initially made for three months and thereafter would be extended for the remaining period based on the performance of the candidate.
Qualifications: The applicant should have a qualification M.Sc./M.Tech in Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering/Earth Sciences or any allied discipline with a major in Environmental Sciences. Candidates having experience in water quality, geoinformatics and fieldwork in related projects with an interest in pursuing Ph.D. will be preferred.

Position: Programme Assistant (Contractual)

Job description/profile
• Provide the department and administration section with support (e.g. filing, emailing and data entry etc.)
• Relay applications for new admission concerns to the appropriate faculty
• Review and submit documents to HoD / PC and other interested parties.
• Schedule and organize meetings of Department and Programme in consultation with HoD / PC
• Maintain department/programme files and add new information as it becomes available.
• Help HoD / faculty of department fill out paperwork/data in portals and attend to various correspondences.
• Coordinating processing of bills related to faculty projects.
• Maintain inventory of department office and other supplies
• Update computer and take backup of file systems on a weekly basis.
• Coordinate between the guest faculty and students
• Typing and formatting of documents
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the University.
Eligibility and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• Candidates with more than 3 years of working will be preferred.
Salary: Rs.35000/- (per month all inclusive), Negotiable
