About the Conference


The Department of Business and Sustainability, TERI School of Advanced Studies announces its first Doctoral Research Conference in Management which aims to bring together doctoral students affiliated to institutions across India and from international schools for an event of paper presentations, discussions with senior academics and researchers from industry, and publication-oriented development.

The Doctoral Conference invites full research papers from the Doctoral scholars in Management across all areas including Sustainability Management, Marketing, Production & Operations Management, Strategic Management & Entrepreneurship, Finance and Accounting /Economics, International Business, Organizational Behavior/HRM, Public Policy, Information Management & Analytics, Other Disciplinary and Interdisciplinary subjects.

The submissions are going to be reviewed by a Faculty Review Committee in multiple rounds, from which a group of papers are going to be finally selected for presentation and reviewed by the discussants. We aim to pick a minimum of one paper from each area, for final presentation. The conference will include plenary sessions with invited keynote speakers.

Doctoral Research Conference 2021 has been postponed till further notice in view of the ongoing current development of the COVID-19 pandemic

Kindly be informed that the Doctoral Research Conference 2021 has been postponed. The conference was planned to take place on May 14th-15th, 2021 but this has changed due to the unavoidable circumstances in view of the ongoing current development of the COVID-19 pandemic. The conference has been postponed to early July 2021, and the exact date will be informed later. Other things, however, remains the same and it is just the date that has been postponed.

Understandably there is a lot of fear and anxiety surrounding this pandemic. This decision has been reached in response to the health authorities and worldwide efforts in taking preventative measures to curb and contain the escalating COVID-19 pandemic.

We apologize for the inconveniences that might result from this change. This postponement is being informed early enough to reduce the possible inconveniences. We are sure that you understand the world population’s health and safety are of utmost importance and concern for us.

We salute the warriors fighting in the frontline of the pandemic and would like to take this opportunity to thank all those people who have been working very hard in recent weeks to face this pandemic. We hope this outbreak will be resolved soon. May we be blessed with good health and peace without end.

About Department of Business and Sustainability


The Department of Business & Sustainability is committed to the cause of continued research in sustainability for business. The department, naturally, is interdisciplinary in its approach. Its mission is to provide experience and research based education that would equip the students to implement an integrated approach to business sustainability, so that the world we share thrives with a greener agenda. The department offers two Masters programmes, MBA in Sustainability Management and MBA in Infrastructure Management. It also offers PhD programmes, both full-time and part-time, with the goal of capacity building in the area for the academic world and the industry.

Objectives:

The objectives of the Conference are:

  • to identify and encourage research by doctoral students in Management domain.
  • to provide a platform where insightful feedback from senior researchers and academicians can help improve the standard and rigor of student research.
  • to facilitate collaborative work amongst researchers from different institutions.
  • to provide a platform of exchange between doctoral students, leading academicians and researchers from industry to identify new applications and avenues of research.

Who Should Attend?

  • The conference is open to doctoral students who have commenced research on their thesis.
  • Only one paper per student is allowed; while co-authorship with faculty is permitted, the paper must be presented by the doctoral student at the conference.
  • The paper should not have been published, or accepted for publication, in any academic journal.



Award:

Three Best Paper Award will be given for the three best papers among those selected for presentation, based on the decision of the Conference Chairs, Discussants and Faculty Review Committee.

• Participation Fee: Rs. 200
• Paper Presentation (Indian Doctoral Students): Rs. 500
• Paper Presentation (International Doctoral Students): $ 30

*Certificates will be provided to all the participants.


Publication:

Selected papers will be published in the Conference Proceeding book with an ISBN Number.
