Abstract: It is a well known fact that for an economy to be developed, the best infrastructure element which will be required for the proper functioning is the rural electrification and electricity to all. At the same time reliable, affordable power with good quality also plays a vital role in the growth of the economy.

India has marked a very big target of 175 GW renewable generation capacities by the end of the year 2022. There should be a proper integration of renewable energy into the grid.

The main aim of this paper is to present an idea about the Day-Ahead scheduled power of the solar power plants above 5 MW capacities. This study aims to reschedule the solar generation in intraday in the case when there is bad weather & there is a need of rescheduling. This study also aims to minimize the overall Deviation Settlement Mechanism (DSM) Charges with the special reference to the state where it is currently implemented.

Hence, through this major project, an effort has been made to conclude that with proper forecasting models, there will be flexible grid integration and the penalty or the overall DSM charges can be minimized if proper intra-day modeling & accurate weather forecast providers are taken into consideration.
