Col. B Venkat Registrar, TERI SAS Col B Venkat served in the Indian Army in the Technical branch (Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering) having done his mechanical engineering from Army institutes.

Having more than 31 years of service experience, and served in all possible appointments of command, staff and instructional, Col Venkat has excelled in all the professional courses and training at India and abroad. Col B Venkat has a unique distinction of representing India as its Technical Military Attache' to Russia, thereby contributing effectively in improving bilateral relations and negotiations leading to modernization of the Indian Army. Col B Venkat has been recognized and has been awarded on multiple occasions at the highest levels in the Indian Army, besides the organization which he commanded being declared the best in an operational theatre.

As Director (Faculty Development), at AICTE he was instrumental in fine tuning faculty development, related issues and release of multiple grants in an extremely transparent and effective manner. Multiple initiatives and activities were conceptualised to include promotion of research, attaining higher qualifications, training on domain specific and related subjects leading to capacity building of the faculty members.

The officer also has expertise in AICTE's quality initiatives like NITTT (National Initiative for Technical Teachers Training), implementation of Examination Reforms, AICTE Students Learning Assessment (PARAKH), AICTE’s 360 Degree Feedback mechanism and processes of implementation of NEP 2020.

As Registrar, Central University Rajasthan he was instrumental in management of administration and fine tuning the work through effective implementation of online processes. Had the experience of conducting a NAAC Peer Team visit, Convocation and meetings of the statutory bodies.
