The Master of Science in Environmental Studies and Resource Management is a one-year multidisciplinary program that equips students with essential skills and knowledge needed to address complex environmental challenges. It emphasizes sustainable development and environmental stewardship through an integrated approach to science, policy, and management.
The curriculum combines theory and practical applications, covering a wide spectrum of concepts and real-world issues impacting ecosystems and communities globally. It concludes with project work that applies learning in real-world settings, encouraging cross-disciplinary collaboration and innovative, sustainable solutions.
A four-year bachelor’s degree (FYUP) to include (Open School and Correspondence Degree) in Science / Engineering / Architecture / Planning / Economics / Mathematics / Statistics / Geology / Geography. The admission process will be based on scores in relevant subjects or aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying degree, followed by interaction / counselling.

• Enhance Analytical Skills: To develop the ability to analyze complex environmental data and policies for strategic problem-solving.
• Promote Practical Application: To facilitate hands-on learning experience through projectbased work and field studies, enabling translation of theoretical knowledge into actionable solutions and building careers in sustainability.
• Foster Interdisciplinary Collaboration: To encourage collaboration among students from diverse academic backgrounds, to tackle complex challenges.
• Cultivate Leadership and Communication Skills: To prepare students for leadership roles in environmental management and policy, enhancing their ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including communities, government agencies, and NGOs.
Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to:
• Analyze and Interpret Environmental Data: Demonstrate proficiency in extracting meaningful insights from environmental data using appropriate methodologies and tools.
• Evaluate Environmental Policies: Critically assess current environmental policies and practices, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and potential areas for improvement.
• Implement Sustainable Practices: Design and propose sustainable management strategies for all various dimensions associated with environmental challenges.
• Conduct Independent Research: Demonstrate the ability to formulate research questions, review literature, design methodologies, and communicate the project findings effectively.
• Collaborate Interdisciplinarily: Engage in team-based projects and collaborate effectively with peers from diverse backgrounds and fields of study.
• Communicate Effectively: Present complex environmental issues clearly and persuasively to varied audiences through written, oral, and visual communication formats.
