Dr Sapan Thapar is an Associate Professor at the Department of Sustainable Engineering, TERI School of Advanced Studies. He completed his doctoral research as well as Masters, both in the field of energy, from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Dr Thapar, a certified Energy Manager, has over two decade long experience in the energy sector, with expertise in energy policy, green finance and energy efficiency. He has several research publications to his credit. In the past, Dr Thapar has been associated with IREDA (a government of India financial institution), The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI) and Tata Consultancy Services (Energy Division).
