Abstract: Advanced Metering Infrastructure is one of the sectors where Technology and advancements in technologies have not been utilized to the fullest potential as of today because of many constraints i.e. lack of preparedness by utility, required skills and Readiness or set standards for smart meters, limited support and interoperability and integration issues.

I have taken up two ongoing projects of smart metering solutions to Eastern Power distribution of Andhra Pradesh Limited and India Power Gaya Bihar and another Project Samuday-Minigrid of 666Kwp by shiv Nadar Foundation.

In smart Metering Projects we propose consumer indexing and asset mapping and installation of smart meters, Data Concentrator Units and Head End System for Meter data Management System. Remote Monitoring and data Analytics after commissioning helped me to do understand the benefits of Advanced Metering Infrastructure by understanding the variation of various parameters which enabled me to do comparative analysis of both Utilities.

In Minigrid Project Samuday a Tender of 666 KWp released by Shiv Nadar Foundation, In this Project by applying project management skills I was able to bid for the whole tender in a given time which includes making of Technical Proposal, Commercial Proposal, Operation and Maintenance Proposal and Implementation strategy Proposal. There were many Technical challenges I faced during tender submission which ultimately helped me to learn and make many tools in order to design system for technical proposal, bill of quantity to make commercial offer and road map to carry out operation and maintenance of Minigrid for five years.
