Abstract: “Factors Contributing to Food and Nutritional Security of Pastoralists and Agro-pastoralists in Awash, Afar Zone 3, Ethiopia" study was conducted through various approaches to underline the problems of Food and Nutrition Security by identifying livelihood factors associated with the food production system in pastoral communities. Several analytical frameworks has been applied to understand the livelihood associated factors of food insecurity. Such analyzes are considerable findings of the research. Indeed this paper significantly discuss over issues on context of specific setting where most of the output are achievable if used. Findings from this paper is considerably significant for local and regional organizations, planning to design and conduct policies and intervention in pastoral Awash area in regards to food security, hunger, poverty reduction for pastoral communities. Recommendations given in this paper is based on ground realities which sensed with the heart of this research. This report does not support any false statement and biases both qualitative and quantities data parts. No biases and false statement the real scenarios which can directly contribute to local level program implementations. Through three main objective this study is designed in six chapters where each chapter contains significant findings along with specific discussions.
