Abstract: It is well understood that reducing energy consumption in consumer electronic product is an important thing nowadays. Tumble Dryers are becoming important as clothes washer, they are complimentary to clothes washer. Tumble Dryer is a product in which energy consumed is very significant, so manufacturers must put lot of efforts to improve the drying efficiency of the dryer.
Drying is the final stage of clothes washing, it involves removal of moisture from the clothes. Drying is implemented as follows: the air is heated by the heater and the blower carries away the air along with it to the wet clothes. Clothes are then heated with this hot air which can be called as convective clothes drying. Tumbling also happens continuously for proper mixing of air and clothes. The air is then recirculated after passing through the condenser. Clothes dryer is equipped with a heater, temperature sensors, thermostat and timer.
This project aims at evaluating different temperature profiles based on Drying Efficiency. A comparative study is done at various temperatures and drying efficiency is observed on various parameters like temperature and moisture.
