Abstract: The report covers the proposed analysis study of Large Scale Ground Mounted Grid Connected Solar
PV plant using advance technology generation estimate for Indian Climate.
For better understanding, initially the work has been first carried out for a test lab at the other region
and based on same I am proposing an advance solar photovoltaic generation estimate technology
which could estimate the maximum amount of energy yield generation on limited area with the help of
recorded weather data, causing the direct impact in reduction of LCOE .
PVsyst. recently released version 6.70 with Bifacial designing tool in the month of May 2018, has
been used for the Bifacial simulation and accurate generation estimate.
The Modelling of Monofacial and Bifacial have been carried out for the Generation Estimate of both
Single Axis Tracker and Fixed Tilt.
Simulation in different software’s were tested during the internship period in order to achieve the
generation estimation.
Bifacial Gain in Energy and Reduce Bifacial Footprint results were calculated on simulation basis to
match the energy production of Monofacial system.
Based on the above mentioned study observation and analysis, I am submitting my major project
report.
