Abstract: To summarize this report consist of introduction of the logistics industry, introduction about the company, their operations and services provided by them and their major customers. This report includes my learnings and experience which I gained during my internship period.

I did my summer internship project in same organization, so to understand the operation process more widely this time major focus of my project is on documents related with operational activities. Also it includes Future objectives Achievements of organization which I mentioned in my last Report. There are various documents which are important in operational activities and without these documents transportation is not possible. These documents streamline the process and some of them are compulsory documents under government regulations. Documents which my report would be focusing on are Contracts, Advance Shipping Note (ASN), Railway Receipt (RR), E-Way Bills, Proof of Deliveries (POD) & Damage Certificates. Organization have various contracts of procurements, truck vendors, lease, operational and non-operational services etc. Advance Shipping Note is a document which consist of details of cars which need to be transported. It includes details such as no. of cars and bifurcation of models of cars, Verification Identity Number (VIN), Dealer’s name, location, & details of vehicle parts. Railway Receipt is a document generated by Indian Railways and given to transporter. It is an important document and needed while transportation of any goods in rail. It includes FNR No., Invoice No., Invoice Date, Origin & Destination Terminal, Weight of goods, No. of articles, amount of total freight, details of each wagon etc. E-way Bill is also an important document which is being in regulation from 1st April 2018. It is mandatory document for transportation of any goods. It is number assigned by government to each and every good transported. It includes information such as Invoice no., GST no. of Consigner, Consignee & Transporter, vehicle details in which it is to be carried, customer’s details & amount of freight. Proof of Delivery is a document which is given by Dealer’s to transporter after the delivery of cars & it is submitted to OEMs. It includes date of delivery and if there is any damage of car it is mentioned on it by Dealer. Damage Certificate is a document issued by the organization to the dealers for the damages made by them or any third party transporter.
