Abstract:

As the population is increasing, demand for electricity which results in the depletion of the fossil’s fuels and other conventional energy sources is also increasing at a very fast rate which further increases the demand for renewable sources.

In this project, the impact of the solar generation in the 11 KV feeder and below is studied in which the PV is integrated into three different positions namely, PV penetration at the substation level, PV injection at the high voltage side and low voltage side of the DT. The impact is observed with respect to the line loading and the transformer loading. When PV paced at the substation level the effect of the PV is the rest of the network, transformer or the line loading is negligible. But in the case of PV placed at the HV and LV side of the transformer, it shows some decrement in the loading percentage of the transformer and the transmission lines.
