Abstract:

Since the region of Marathwada, Maharashtra is a drought-affected area, the women framers ace a lot of difficulty during those particular months. SSP is an NGO which has helped the women farmers to practice organic and sustainable agriculture and help themselves as well as their families. The approach of SSP towards fighting drought and climate change involves a lot of sustainable practices mainly led by women farmers as it encourages women empowerment. The food security model provides income and livelihood security to them as well. The funds by SSP help them in the drought period for sustaining.
