Abstract:

Black pepper as a king of spices is very well known worldwide. As it has several varieties, it also has several uses such as food, seasoning, pharmaceutical and many more medicinal uses. It also works as a natural anti-bacterial agent. Bacteria will have a more difficult time growing in the soil and up into the plant if the pepper is mixed into the soil. The black pepper compounds will be absorbed by the plant, providing additional protection. This report explained the history and significance of black pepper in our lives since historic times. In this report, Sadiya has been chosen as the study area with regards to multiple cropping of black pepper in arecanut gardens of the region. And how it would help in rise in or double the income of the farmers of the region. And lastly, bulk black pepper production can be done when there exist good amount arecanut gardens in the region. Black pepper plantation alongside areca nut gardens also keeps insects or animals away.
