Abstract:

In this research I have tried to talk about the increasing carbon emission from industrial development of India. Indian industrial development is increasing day by day but is that development is sustainable. The government as well as the United Nation working hard to make the development sustainable. United Nation have adopted 17 goal to achieve the sustainability. One of the 17th goals is to promote the industrial infrastructure innovation. The government has initiated enough policies to promote the sustainable industrial development.

Further this research talks about the history of industrial development from British period till now. The industrial sector has played a critical role in the growth of the Indian economy since independence. The resolution on industrial strategy, passed in 1948, was a watershed moment in the series. After that, the Indian government began a series of policy reforms, the most dramatic of which happened in 1991. Following that, the influence of industrial development on the environment is discussed in this study.

Industrialization has had a detrimental influence on the country's environmental management; there have been serious issues such as pollution of different types, including air, water, and sound, as well as the release of hazardous gases such as carbon dioxide. Population expansion, with people migrating from rural regions in search of work, rapid industrialization, industrial employment, and a rise in the number of cars as a result of extremely fast economic growth have all been identified as key drivers of greater energy consumption (Krishna, 2007).

Further this research talks about the industrial policies of India initiated by the government and also a short analysis of industrial policies of other countries and how it is different from the India. Policies are created to offer direction in order to achieve a goal. After independence, India's Industrial Policies were also created to address the difficulties and to provide direction for achieving economic development and progress through industrialisation. The current study examines how India's industrial policies are evolving. The evolution of India's industrial policies may be examined by splitting the study into three phases: first, preindependence industrial policies; second, post-independence industrial policies up to 1990; and third, post-independence industrial policies up to 1991. In the first part, an attempt is made to comprehend the British rulers' industrial policies. In the second section, it will be explored how India has pursued and adjusted industrial policies in order to set the country on the path to growth. In the third phase, it is explained how, under the banner of LPG (Liberalization, Privatization, and Globalization), growing India offered new direction to industrial operations through the New Industrial Policy and subsequent Industrial Policies that could deal with the rest of the world economy.
