Abstract:

The comparison of performance across key ESG parameters summarises quantitative and qualitative disclosures and aids investment screening. Investors can use ESG reporting to identify companies that may be more financially risky due to their environmental performance or other social or governmental policies.

ESG scoring seeks to rate firms on their ESG efforts, as ESG has become a focus for investors and enterprises alike. An ESG score, like a credit or bond rating, indicates a company's capacity to meet its ESG commitments, as well as its performance and risk exposure.

This paper is a comparative analysis between two companies from the telecommunication sector on basis of their ESG disclosure and how their performance is ultimately affecting their performance in the market. It shows us how to gain value in the eye of your customer or investors and make them understand the stands a company is taking in terms of being using to the society as well as making profit. It shows the importance of proper reporting and disclosure of everything they work for and what more they are doing at the same time.

When the two companies are and show how each one carried out their operations and how they disclose different parameters. How both being of the same size and having equal number of employees have different grade and ranking in the ISS rating universe and eventually the revenue difference is also huge.
