An institutional seminar series titled, ‘GIS applications on Ground Water Exploration in Urban Settings’ by Prof. Saumitra Mukherjee, Professor, School of Environmental Sciences on 12th August 2015 at the TU campus.
The seminar series aimed at strengthening measures for water, sanitation and hygiene at TERI University. The series was also designed with an objective to address key issues in the WASH sector, so that wide range of students and working professionals get exposure to the latest techniques, innovations and interventions.
Professor Mukherjee specializes in earth observation applications for water resources assessment and management, GIS applications in groundwater exploration, rainwater harvesting, early warning of natural hazards and its relation with water resources.
