Abstract:

Extreme air contamination and global warming, have driven governments, organizations and people to understand the worldwide economy need to decarbonize. There has been a stretch in energy sector from conventional fossil fuel to new and clean energy. Globally, during the coronavirus pandemic clean energy investment rose even when the entire energy sector was on its keens. Multinational oil and gas companies like Total and British Petroleum are shifting their investment towards clean energy. International organisation (e.g., EU) and nations like US and China have made commitments to clean energy. In the last few years, India has been a part of world's fastest-growing nations. India is expected to have the world's largest energy market. To tackle the environment concerns and growing energy demand India has taken the road to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy. The worldwide shift in energy sector is of crucial importance to India, the government of India is seeking to reduce India's fossil fuel imports, new renewable energy is a perfect solution to this growing issue. It is expected and can be put as a fact looking at the current trend and scenario that we are going to see more and more dependency on electricity as a product, therefore it is necessary to support this shift.
