    Job Description

    The Department of Policy Study at TERI School of Advanced Studies is hiring a consultant for the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) funded project titled “Meta-analysis for Environmental Damage Assessment”.

    Candidates will be expected to:

    • Review and synthesize scholarly articles on environment damage assessment in India and South- Asia.
    • Assist In writing manuscript on the findings of the project.
    • Provide technical and clerical support whenever needed.
    • Ensure that project milestones are completed and delivered as per the timelines established and up to the quality standards of the institute.
    • Candidate will be working from the TERI SAS campus at New Delhi.


    The list of responsibilities outlined above are not intended to be exhaustive and the post holder may be required to carry out other reasonable tasks or responsibilities under the direction of investigators of project.


    Duration: Contractual position for one-month


    Eligibility Qualifications: Educational Qualification, Desired Experience etc.:

    • Master’s degree (Economics/ Applied Economics/ Environment and Resource Economics/ Development Economics and related fields)
    • Expertise in non-market valuation techniques and environment policy

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    National Post-doctoral Fellowship (Microbiology/Microbiome)


    This is an opportunity or post-doctoral scholars in the life sciences (laboratory-, field- or informatics-based and related to microbiology/microbiome) desirous of pursuing a pathway to research independence.

    Selected candidates will be required to set up an interview in person or via videoconference with Prof. Ramakrishnan Sitaraman, Department of Biotechnology, TERI School of Advanced Studies.  They are expected to formulate a research plan and develop a case of funding for consideration by the National Post-doctoral Fellowship programme in Life Sciences, Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India (see:  If the fellowship is awarded, the proposed research will be operationalized at the TERI School of Advanced Studies as per the terms of the award specified by SERB.



    Doctoral degree in engineering or in the sciences.

    Fellowship details:  The duly completed application form will be submitted by the candidate to SERB, Government of India after obtaining endorsement/approval from TERI School of Advanced Studies – April 10, 2020 (tentative).

    • Incomplete applications will be rejected.
