The Department of Natural and Applied Sciences at TERI SAS successfully hosted an insightful expert talk featuring Mr. Morten Just Kjølby, a globally recognized authority in urban water solutions. The event was organized in collaboration with DHI India and drew participation from faculty members, PhD scholars, and master's students of Geoinformatics keen on sustainable urban water management and application of geoinformatics in water resources.
Session Highlights:
Mr. Kjølby delivered a comprehensive presentation covering:
• Overview of DHI Urban Water Solutions:
An introduction to DHI’s integrated approaches and technologies for managing urban water systems.
• What’s New in MIKE+:
A walkthrough of the latest features and enhancements in MIKE+, DHI’s flagship software for water modeling.
• The Future of MIKE+ Urban Solutions:
Insights into upcoming innovations and the strategic direction of MIKE+ in addressing global urban water challenges.
• Global Case Studies:
Real-world applications of MIKE+ across various countries, showcasing its impact on improving urban water infrastructure and resilience.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where participants explored practical applications and future internship/placement opportunities. Mr. Kjølby’s expertise and global perspective provided valuable learning for all participants, reinforcing the importance of data-driven and sustainable urban water solutions.

The Department of Sustainable Engineering at TERI SAS organized the second series of ENERGY DIALOGUES, focussed on Climate Finance. The talk was delivered by Mr Mudit Jain, Head Strategy & Climate Partnership – Cleantech & Corporate Finance at Tata Capital Limited. The session provided vital insights on the role of capital, climate financing instruments, risk assessment techniques and the opportunities available in the Indian cleantech sector. Anecdotes and case studies were really helpful and the students had a great learning experience. The session was organized and coordinated by Dr Sapan Thapar.
